Under the sign of Hercle

Under the sign of Hercle (Hercules)

What was life like in Santa Marinella, on the Tyrrhenian Sea north of Rome, in the year 500 BC?

This novel contains a meticulous reconstruction of the daily life of the Cerveteran Etruscans in the era of their apogee: the names, the historical events, the landscape and the environment, lived through the daily experiences of a twelve-year-old boy, in the temporal space of a spring, between exciting excursions in a still uncontaminated nature, an archaic village life, the development of agricultural, textile and maritime technologies, the great commercial and military enterprises that marked this era.

Simone Tarrone has created a plot of daily adventures, placing it on the foundations of a precise work of historical, archaeological and scientific reconstruction obtained from the consultation of the most recent documents published on the subject (the bibliography can be consulted on Academia.edu)

A reading tailored for those who intend to deepen the knowledge of their origins and those of the society in which we live. A reading that can reserve surprises and unexpected points of interest and that has the specific intent of motivating and encouraging greater curiosity towards our roots, in the hope that this will then lead to greater respect and protection for the immense cultural heritage that we must keep safe for generations to come.
